Simulations Editor

A Simulations Editor creates free-roam simulations of the latest technology products using our bespoke tools.

Editors are responsible for creating a web version of devices ranging from a phone or tablet, to a television or fridge to be used on our support sites. The simulations are an on-screen version of the device with all the most commonly used functions available such as making a phone call, sending an SMS or checking device settings. Along with the simulation, around 100 scenarios are available which are used to guide the customers and agents through complex actions on their device.

The tools will be used on both agent and customer facing platforms.

From £17,500pa based on experience.

What you’ll do

  • Build simulations based on another device.
    • This also includes a comparison test.
    • Known as a family device
  • Build a simulation from scratch
    • Known as a lead device
  • Create and edit content in response to;
    • Operating system updates
    • Unique selling points
    • Client requests and feedback
    • Call drivers
  • Carry out additional fixes on devices once they have been tested by our internal tester.

Skills you’ll have

  • Photo editing software – Fireworks, Paint shop pro or Photoshop
  • Basic HTML

Content Editor

The Content Editor writes articles and step-by-step Troubleshooter scripts that enable non-technical people to resolve technical problems and find the answer to general device queries.

The role requires the editor to have an excellent command of English, the ability to answer a complex question in a simple and easy-to-understand manner, and an excellent understanding of LucidCX’s editing tools and software.

The tools will be used on both agent and customer facing platforms.

From £17,500pa based on experience.

What you’ll do

  • Create new content in response to:
    • New product releases
    • Client requests and feedback
    • Social media queries (forums, twitter etc.)
    • Call drivers
    • Own or other’s experience (I wonder if…)
  • Ensure that the customer’s question brings up the right answer (training) within A2
  • Review existing articles and troubleshooter scripts content on a regular basis
  • Review and update content in response to feedback
  • Build daily A2 releases to deploy any changes into production

Skills you’ll have

  • Good grasp of spelling and grammar with a minimum of a B grade in English at GSCE or equivalent
  • Clear writing style
  • Ability to explain complex or verbose processes clearly and without ambiguity
  • Image and text creation in a drawing program (Photoshop, Fireworks, Gimp)
  • Basic HTML
  • The ability to understand and answer the question the customer is actually asking

Quality Assurance Analyst

A QA Analyst is responsible for testing the content before it gets published and making sure it is error-free and the best experience for the user.

We pride ourselves on the quality of everything we do so this is a vital gate-keeping role to maintain our high standards.

What you’ll do

  • Test simulations and make sure they represent the physical device
  • Ensure Troubleshooter scripts are accurate and complete
  • Confirm specifications, icons and other device-specific content is correct
  • Work with content and simulations editors to create an exceptional end-product
  • Confirm weekly content releases

Skills you’ll have

  • Any testing qualification
  • Good grasp of spelling and grammar
